The rules
Rank is the money. Nothing else.
outbidego.lol is a public leaderboard. You pay to stand above everyone else.
What you get
- A permanent listing showing your @handle, website or name, a profile picture, and an optional one-line quote.
- A link from your listing straight to your own site or profile.
- A running count of how many people clicked through to you.
How ranking works
- Bids are whole US dollars, from $1 to $99,999.
- Paying less than #1 still puts you on the board, at whatever rank that amount can take.
- Enter the same handle or URL again to raise your listing. You only pay the difference from your own total. Nobody else can take your rank by paying that same difference, because their payment starts from zero.
- Rank is by lifetime total, so the board only moves when somebody actually pays more than you have.
What you can list
- A product website, an X handle, or just your name.
- GitHub, the App Store, Google Play, YouTube, npm and similar platforms are keyed by their path, so two different apps or profiles never share one listing.
- Everything else is one listing per website. Query strings are stripped, so affiliate, referral and tracking links will not work, and the same site cannot be claimed twice by adding a different parameter.
- Chat and invite links are not allowed: Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal, Slack and link shorteners. The board is for products and profiles, not group chats.
After you pay
- Your listing goes up the moment the payment settles, and it stays up.
- Clicks go to the link you submitted, with our referral tag attached so you can see the traffic in your own analytics. We count them, deduplicated to one per person per day.
- Being outbid does not remove, hide or shrink your listing. You keep everything you paid for. Somebody else is simply above you.
- Because the listing is delivered immediately and is never withdrawn, payments are non-refundable.
Payment and chargebacks
Polar is the merchant of record. They take the payment, handle tax and send the receipt. Amounts are shown in USD; your card is charged in your own currency.
By completing a purchase you confirm that you have reviewed the product and the price, and you authorise the payment. If anything goes wrong, email hello@outbidego.lol before starting a dispute or chargeback and we will sort it out.
Nothing here limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Moderation
Names, quotes, pictures and links are submitted by bidders. Anything illegal, hateful, or impersonating somebody else gets removed. Removal does not come with a refund, for the same reason nothing else does.
